A Korean-born American, Dayoung started her career in advertising as a Creative Intern at Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami. Learning from the best in class, she worked her way up to become a Creative Director / Vice President, overseeing various accounts such as Nike, VW, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and Groupon. Her work on these campaigns earned her numerous awards, including the prestigious D&AD pencils and Cannes Lions. Notably, she was recognized for the Coca-Cola Zero launch campaign "Taste Infringement". Following her time at CP+B, she has worked at various creative agencies. At Fallon, she played a key role in the launch of the George ASDA fashion campaign. Later, at Mother London, she led clients such as Boots Pharmacy and Notonthehighstreet.com. She spent a year at R/GA where she was responsible for bringing together the campaign and system side of creatives, for clients including Nike and Amazon Studio. In 2020, she returned to Mother and spearheaded its largest production global campaign for Dubai Tourism. In 2021, Dayoung joined VMLYR, where she currently leads global accounts; New Balance, Diageo, and Wendy's. Her Wendy's "Camden Makeover" campaign resulted in over 2 billion earned impressions and marked the most successful new store launch in the UK.
